Crossing the Ester mountain range from South to North, August 2016. We started in Farchant and hiked via Hoher Fricken and Bischof to the hut in the center of the mountain range.

At the hut we dropped stayed the night, allowing us to make quick trips to the Krottenkopf and the Oberer Risskopf to watch the sunset and lights in the valley below. On the next day we continued northwards to the Hohe Kistn and descended to Eschenlohe through the Pustertal.
