Alpine hike through Höllental up to Großer Waxenstein (2277m). Hours of very exposed hiking on barely visible trails, interspersed with climbing up to maybe grade II UIAA. The gully through which the last ~200m to the peak have to be climbed is littered with rocks, dodging and side tracking necessary if people are above you. Vice versa, tread carefully if someone is below!
Descended on the Schafsteig towards Riffelscharte, the path is neither well marked nor obvious from time to time; and continuously very exposed. Stunning views and solitude though.
